Art and collectors would enjoy the art, the decor and antique furniture which is mingled with modern furniture for a country farm flair with the hunter / outdoorsman in mind.
And for the female visitors, “…sometimes I stop and think about how Grandma had things decorated… And add a few little extra decor items.”
FAMILIES: The purpose of the major renovations is to create a safe and fun environment. This is a place families will enjoy and want to rent for a weekend get away or a week … A place to come ..a place to return to … To enjoy the peace in the country. A very artistic flair has been intertwined while decorating room by room. And extras outside – Swings, sandbox, horseshoes, walking trails etc.
NEWLYWEDS / HONEYMOONERS: This is a great little place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The nearest town is 6 miles down the blacktop and has a great restaurant. The fire pit is a pleaceful place to spend the evening, roasting marshmallows, or just sitting by the fire and having a glass of wine. The front porch swing can be a sweet romantic place to start the morning with a cup of coffee with your best half or watch the sun go down together.
NATURE LOVERS/PHOTOGRAPHERS: Numerous flower gardens have been created. More than 95 Native Perennial Plants were started in the spring of 2016. Butterfly Bushes, Honeysuckle, Purple Asters, Coneflowers and Milkweed plants, just to name a few. A Hummingbird feeder was hung and quickly found, 3 BlueBird Houses were strategically placed, a nature/walking trail was created with two areas to sit and watch the wildlife. In the Spring of 2016, there was a bluebird family with 5 babies born, an orchard oriole nest with babies, and a robin nest with 3 babies all close to the house.
And I must not forget to mention the end of January 2016 brought the birth of 3 great horn owlets.
